Learn to Play Harmonium: A Live Online Open Level Course
Seth Lieberman
6 WEEKLY SESSIONS, Thursdays, 6:00-8:00pm ET
Course Description:
This course is designed for those who already have some basic knowledge of the harmonium or have completed an Intro course with Seth. Building on fundamentals skills, these classes will immerse students more deeply in a study of music, playing the harmonium, leading kirtan, and Bhakti Yoga, one of the Four Paths of Yoga in Swami Sivananda’s Yoga of Synthesis.
These classes offer students an opportunity to grow technically through playing the harmonium and leading kirtan, and make meaningful connections with others on this path. Students share their questions and progress, and receive positive feedback and encouragement from Seth and their fellow participants in this very interactive and engaging learning environment.
What you'll learn:
- New playing techniques beyond the beginner level
- Foundational principles of musicianship and music theory behind this practice
- Developing your voice through deeper listening, mindfulness, and an awareness of how we sing
- Sharing kirtan with others, both in-person and virtually
