Passive yoga can be described as a stabilizing, contemplative, de-stressing practice based on the feminine side of Hatha Yoga (Sun/ Moon). Most of us live a very active (HA) life and balancing the HA and the THA or the Yin and the Yang helps us to reduce tension in both the mind and the body. This practice increases flexibility and mobility of the joints, leading to relief of stiffness and physical discomfort.
Learn the basic principles of the feminine practice of Passive Yoga and explore releasing deeper tissues of the body and long-held tensions allowing the Prana/life force to flow more easily. Passive Yoga is a wonderful complement to any other form of yoga or any other activity in our life.
This intro is a taste of what the 12-hour Passive Yoga Teacher Training course will offer. In the full training, you will learn about the passive poses, how to assess the comfort of your students, how to help prop them, what cues to use, and more.
