Therapeutic yoga is defined as the application of yogic practices for the recovery of injuries, ailments, and the relief of health conditions. Certain yogic practices and teachings help to prevent, reduce or alleviate structural, physiological, emotional, and spiritual pain, suffering or limitations.
Therapeutic applications of Yoga reintroduce movement to tight, stiff and painful joints, enhance muscular strength gradually, develops mobility and flexibility, promotes and improves respiratory and cardiovascular function, reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, improves sleep patterns, and enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
Learning more about therapeutic yoga is beneficial not only to someone who would like to excel in the therapeutic applications of yoga, or to a teacher who wants to safely aid students who have challenges in a general yoga class, but also for an individual student who wants to learn more about his/her own special needs and how to address them for a safe and rewarding yoga practice.
Join the 14 hrs Therapeutic Yoga teacher training starting on Oct 16 to learn more and receive a certificate of completion as well as 14 CEU’s with Yoga Alliance.
