A Guided Ashram Retreat with Sri Devi Jennie

Sri Devi Jennie

This five-day retreat is a welcoming, guided introduction to life at the ashram, led by one of our teacher training graduates, Sri Devi Jennie. It is designed for those who are curious about the ashram experience and would like support in learning its rhythm, traditions, and daily flow.

Participants will follow the regular ashram schedule alongside the full community, including morning and evening satsang, two daily yoga classes, shared meals, and time for rest and reflection. Living this rhythm together allows yoga to unfold naturally throughout the day.

Each afternoon, the group will gather with the retreat leader for an informal session for questions, connection, and guidance — helping you feel comfortable and at home in the ashram environment.

This retreat is ideal for newcomers to yoga or ashram life, as well as Sri Devi Jennie’s students and friends who would like a more personal, supported connection while at the ashram.

This program is part of the Retreat Leader Program, which supports Sivananda TTC graduates to grow as leaders, and to introdue their communities to the ashram for an authentic, guided retreat experience.

“Health is wealth. Peace of mind is happiness. Yoga shows the way.”

A Message from the Retreat Leader

When I first came to the ashram, I remember feeling both deeply drawn to it and a little unsure of what to expect. The schedule, the chanting, the quiet moments, the communal rhythm of the day — it was all new. What I discovered, though, was something profoundly supportive: a way of living that gently guides you back to yourself.

This retreat is an invitation to experience the ashram through my love for it. For five days, we will live the daily rhythm together — practicing yoga, attending satsang, sharing meals, and allowing the structure of the day to do some of the work for us. You don’t need to “know” anything in advance or get it all right. My role is simply to walk alongside you, help translate what may feel unfamiliar, and create space for questions, reflection, and connection.

Each afternoon, we’ll gather as a small community to talk about the experience — what’s arising, what feels nourishing, and what might feel new or confusing. These moments are an opportunity to slow down, feel supported, and deepen your understanding of what it means to live yoga.

Whether this is your first time at the ashram or your first time returning in a while, my hope is that you leave feeling more at ease, more connected, and more at home — both here and within yourself. I would love to share this experience with you and welcome you to the ashram.
